Teesside Renewable Energy Plant

The Teesside Renewable Energy Plant is the largest Biomass (Waste Wood) Power Station to be built in Europe, with a total construction value £650 million. It is a joint venture between Samsung and Technicas Reunidas (TR) and it will use around 250,000 tonnes of wood pellets annually, producing 299 MW of power to the UK National Grid.

We installed a turnkey package over a 3 month period including the Special Gases, Hot & Cold water and vulcathene drainage systems into the onsite Energy Lab on behalf of the leading international testing company, Intertek.

The project has a key role to play in diversifying the UK’s energy resources and it contributes to broader targets to increase the amount of energy consumed from renewable sources.
